Egypt Emerges as Top Steel Producer in Africa

Egypt is ranked the first largest steel producer in Africa and the second in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, according to a report by Fitch Solutions, quoted by the Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC).

Egypt's steel production hits 9.8 million tons in 2022, with expected annual growth rate of 1.5% over the next ten years.
