Egypt has released imported goods from various ports and customs outlets worth $31.8 billion during the five months of 2023, a 15.7% year-on-year (YoY) decline from $37.7 billion worth of good released from the Egyptian ports in the January-May period of 2022. 

A total of $7.3 billion worth of goods were released during the month of May 2023. 

Goods worth $5.5 billion are still piled up at the Egyptian ports.
