Egypt's most important exporters during the first half (H1) of this year included China with exports worth $5.7 billion, the USA with $2.8 billion and Russia with $2.6 billion, according to Egypt’s stats body CAPMAS.  

Exports from Saudi Arabia and Germany hit $2.2 billion and $1.9 billion, respectively.

Meanwhile, top importers from Egypt during the first six months of 2023 were Turkey with imports worth 2.3 billion, Italy with $1.6 billion and Saudi Arabia with $1.3 billion.  

The USA and Spain imported goods from Egypt worth $900 million each.
