Arab Finance: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has met with Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait to review a number of draft laws that include tax incentives to encourage the industrial sector, according to a Cabinet statement published on February 7th.

The government aims to take the necessary steps to reinforce the role of the industrial sector by easing off possible challenges in this regard, Madbouly asserted.

Moreover, he said that the state considers legislative amendments to motivate companies to localize industries in the Egyptian market in a way that pushes production and operating rates higher, boosts exports, and bolsters national economy.

During the meeting, Maait presented possible measures to be taken to resolve some tax issues, in order to attract different targeted industries.

The finance minister said that the proposed tax incentives ensure the government’s commitment to promoting investments.
