The Alexandria Port Authority and the Alexandria Supply Chain Company have signed a contract to build, develop, and operate a marine and land facilities terminal for liquid and gaseous bulk at Dekheila Port, with an investment of $660 million.

The trial operation of the expansion works at East Port Said port is scheduled to begin in April 2025, Keld Mosgaard Christensen, Managing Director of Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT), stated.
