Edita Food Industries has launched the HOHOs Family Roll under its HOHOs brand.

Egypt’s food sector plays a vital role in supporting the national economy, with investments exceeding EGP 500 billion, said Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatiba.

The food industry accounts for approximately 14% of Egypt's exports, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib announced.

The 12th edition of the Fi Africa and ProPak MENA, the leading and the only dedicated food and beverage manufacturing exhibition in Africa, will take place at the prestigious Egypt International Exhibition Center from May 26th to 28th.

Juhayna Food Industries strengthened its leading position in food industries through investments totaling EGP 561 million in 2023.

Exports of Egyptian food industries increased by 14% year on year (YoY) in 2023 to $5.1 billion from $4.5 billion.

Egypt has been working on the development of its agricultural sector and associated industries. This comes as Egyptian agricultural and food products contribute to the country’s exports and play a role in its food security. Therefore, developing and establishing agricultural food (agri-food) industrial projects empowers the country to achieve food-related economic growth.

The Egyptian provider of agri-food products MAFI has signed several contracts with representatives of international technology solutions providers in the food sector to establish the largest park of food industries in the Middle East with investments of up to $3 million.

Egyptian exports of food industries rose by 10.5% year-on-year (YoY) during the first seven months of 2023.
