Arab Finance: Ministry of Communications and Information Technology penned a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three companies to complete studies on the project of the development, construction, ownership, and operation of a green data center in Egypt, as per a statement.
The three companies are namely, the International Petroleum and Industrial Services Company (INCOM), Record Digital Asset Ventures Ltd, and SIC Investment Ltd.
The green data center will be equipped with approximately 200 megawatts of power generated from solar and wind energies.
The project will be implemented in two phases, with each stage including a project to generate electricity from solar and wind energies, with a capacity of 100 megawatts.
The center will export digital services to targeted customers around the world.
