Egypt prepares integrated national strategy to combat unemployment

Arab Finance: The Egyptian government is preparing a comprehensive national strategy for combating unemployment as per the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement by the Egyptian cabinet on February 21st.
This was discussed in a meeting held by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly with Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdalla and a number of ministers and top officials to follow up on the preparation of the Presidential directives regarding the strategy.
El-Sisi’s directives come in light of the ongoing global crises, especially the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Madbouly indicated that an action plan will be developed to finalize this strategy, and there will be a work team responsible for following up on it.
The meeting also tackled the current unemployment rates as well as Egypt's workforce indicators and the percentage of informal laborers and means of getting them to join formal employment.
