Arab Finance: MasterCard and the World Food Program (WFP) announced their cooperation with Amazon Egypt to provide up to one million school meals during Ramadan, according to an emailed press release on March 26^th.

MasterCard will donate the value of a school meal to the WFP for every purchase made by customers in Egypt through the Amazon.eg website or application using MasterCard cards for payment during the holy month.

 The World Food Program will distribute meals to children in need.

“Achieving food security is a collective responsibility that involves every individual around the world. The 1 Million School Meals campaign is a model of how WFP and our partners strive to forge channels that provide an opportunity for everyone to make a difference with a school meal,” said WFP Representative and Country Director in Egypt, Praveen Agrawal.
