Mashroo’ak initiative carries out 207,000 projects with EGP 27.1B in financing

Arab Finance: The National Program for Community, Human, and Local Development (Mashrou’ak) has executed 207,500 projects since its launch in 2015 until September, with total loans amounting to around EGP 27.1 billion, Minister of Local Development Hesham Amna stated.

The projects created over 1.6 million job opportunities all over the country, the minister noted.

Amna declared that Minya topped the country’s governorates in terms of the number of projects executed within the initiative, with 23,100 projects financed with more than EGP 2.9 billion. The projects provided over 160,500 job opportunities.

Sohag came in second position with funds worth over EGP 3 billion for 22,000 projects, creating 158,000 job opportunities, he added.
