Egypt’s real food inflation hits 36% YoY in 3 months: World Bank

Arab Finance: Egypt’s real food price inflation hit 36% year on year (YoY) in the three months to September 2023, marking the highest rate globally, according to the World Bank’s latest Food Security Update.

Meanwhile, the country came in the fifth place among the countries with the highest nominal food price inflation, hitting 74% during the three-month period.
