Sabaa International reports 27% profit rise

ArabFinance: Sabaa International for Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry (SIPC) reported a 26.8% Year on Year increase in its net profit in the first half (H1) of 2020, according to the company’s August 10th financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange.

Net profit stood at EGP 1,978,484 in H1 of 2020, compared to EGP 1,560,306 posted in H1 of 2019.

The company obtained earlier preliminary approval from the Egyptian Drug Authority to register Favipiravir (200 mg) tablet, one of the drugs used in the treatment of coronavirus.

The medicine's registration and production procedures will take place within three months in its factory in Kafr el Sheikh industrial zone, the statement highlighted.

Sabaa is an Egypt-based company engaged in the pharmaceutical sector. The company’s generic product portfolio includes products focused on different therapeutic categories.
