Credit Agricole Egypt reports 13.8% consolidated profit growth in 9 months

ArabFinanceCredit Agricole Egypt (CIEB) reported a 13.81% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net income after tax for the January-September period of 2021, according to the bank’s unaudited financial results filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Consolidated net income after tax stood at EGP 1.179 billion in the first nine months of 2021, up from EGP 1.036 billion in the year-ago period.

On the other hand, standalone net income after tax grew by 13.19% to EGP 1.167 billion in the nine-month period ended September 30th, 2021, from EGP 1.031 billion in the prior-year period.

Launched in 1996 and listed on the EGX in 2006, Crédit Agricole has subsidiaries operating across Egypt, working on commercial and professional services, in addition to thrifts and mortgage finance.
