US’ Bechtel to evaluate Egypt Aluminum’s plant for possible renovation

ArabFinance: Egypt Aluminum (Egyptalum) (EGAL) has agreed with US-based company Bechtel to conduct evaluation study on EGAL’s plant and its utilities, according to a statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.
The study aims at determining the possibility of rehabilitating the plant and its expected lifespan after the rehabilitation process.
It is worth mentioning that Bechtel is the engineering consultant of EGAL’s seventh production line.
Egyptalum is an Egypt-based company specialized in extruding aluminum profiles for architectural and industrial applications. The company undertakes the activities of aluminum billet casting, dies, extrusion, alloys, painting, and anodizing.
