ArabFinance: American energy corporation ConocoPhillips and QatarEnergy signed a 15-year agreement to supply Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Germany, Reuters reported on November 30th.
Under the agreement, LNG flows to Germany will start in 2026.
QatarEnergy will supply 2 million tons of LNG annually to Germany from Ras Laffan refineries to the Brunsbuettel LNG terminal.
A subsidiary of ConocoPhillips will purchase the agreed-upon quantity to deliver it to the German terminal, which is under construction.
On September 25th, German utility RWE entered two agreements with Emirati companies; Abu Dhabi National Oil company (ADNOC) and Masdar for LNG supplies.
