Egypt to see launch of e-SIMs at EGP 270 for replacements, EGP 330 for new Lines

Arab Finance: Mobile users in Egypt will soon be able to switch to e-SIM technology at EGP 270 for replacing traditional SIM cards, or EGP 330 for purchasing new ones, unnamed sources in the telecommunication sector told Al Arabiya Business.

New customers can also opt for e-SIMs under the same pricing structure.

The e-SIM, or embedded SIM, is a digital version of the traditional SIM card that enables users to activate mobile services without the need for a physical card.

It can activate up to eight mobile lines on a single device, using one number at a time.

Manufacturers integrate e-SIMs directly into phone motherboards, and the technology is also compatible with other smart devices.
