Arab Finance: U Consumer Finance (Valu) has successfully closed its 23rd securitized bond issuance, valued at EGP 945.8 million, with EFG Hermes, according to a press release.
The transaction marks the fourth issuance under Valu’s eighth securitization program, which has a total value of EGP 10 billion.
The offering carried a 13-month tenor and is structured into a single tranche rated “AA-”. It is backed by a receivables portfolio assigned to EFG for Securitization, which acts as the special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the issuance.
This reflects Valu’s continued execution of its securitization strategy, leveraging structured financing solutions to support its growth ambitions and diversify its funding sources, while reinforcing its longstanding partnership with EFG Hermes in the debt capital markets.
Karim Riad, CFO of Valu, commented: “This achievement stands as a powerful testament to Valu’s robust financial position, solid balance sheet, and consistent operational excellence. The continued oversubscription and unwavering investor confidence in our debt issuances reinforce our ability to maintain sustainable growth while consolidating our position as Egypt’s leading fintech powerhouse.”
EFG Hermes acted as the sole financial advisor, sole transaction manager, bookrunner, underwriter, and arranger for the offering. On the other hand, Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy served as legal advisor, and Baker Tilly as auditor.
In August, the EGX-listed firm completed its first-ever corporate bond issuance, with a total value of EGP 1 billion.
