Arab Finance: The Supreme Council for Energy, headed by Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat, discussed a number of requests on energy supply for 11 new industrial projects, along with three others added to the agenda, according to an official statement.

The council also approved other projects and tackled them in terms of the required energy and the approval of providing sources of electricity and natural gas for industrial projects.

These projects include new factories and additional production lines in existing factories, in addition to special requests regarding the production of biomethane gas from organic waste as a renewable energy source serving as an alternative to natural gas in some projects.

This comes within the framework of the government’s plan to localize modern industries and boost reliance on renewable energies to achieve the sustainable development.
