MSMEDA backs women's projects with EGP 17.4B in funding over 10 years

Arab Finance: The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has pumped EGP 17.4 billion in funding into women's projects during the period from July 2014 to December 2024, Basil Rahmy, the agency’s CEO, announced.

Around 908,000 small and micro projects were financed, making up 45% of the total projects funded by the agency, he added.

Rahmy noted that these funding offered nearly 1.2 million job opportunities, with 30% of marketing services being directed to women-led projects.

He also mentioned that about 49,000 women were trained to develop entrepreneurship skills.
