GANOPE, SLB partner to generate electric power from geothermal energy

Arab Finance: Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (GANOPE) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the oilfield services company Schlumberger (SLB) to conduct a study on exploiting the geothermal energy to generate electric energy in Egypt, as per a statement.

Under the MoU, both sides agreed on exploring the best locations for using geothermal energy in generating electric energy as well as preparing feasibility studies for the project.

This came on the sidelines of the second day of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024).
