Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the developed customs logistics center in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) in partnership with Agility Logistics Parks, as per a statement.

Following the inauguration of the logistics center, the Prime Minister received a briefing on the project's objectives.

Madbouly's visit to SCZone included the launch of several projects with total investments exceeding $544 million, spanning an area of 897,000 square meters and creating around 10,000 job opportunities.

Established with $60 million in investments, the center spans 100,000 square meters and provides 2,500 direct and indirect job opportunities.

Completed within 10 months from September 2023 to June 2024, the center aims to streamline customs services and enhance operational efficiency through automation.

The center also provides modern handling and inspection facilities to ensure the safe processing of goods, as well as secure storage and transportation solutions.

An advanced digital platform connects investors to a network of local transportation companies, offering flexible logistical options.

Additionally, the center features a knowledge bank for training and business support, equipping partners with expertise in modern tools and technologies.

SCZone's Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien stated that these projects align with Egypt’s economic priorities, covering logistics services, engineering industries, building materials, textiles, chemical industries, medical and industrial gas production, and renewable energy.

He emphasized that these investments support local supply chains, advance strategic industries, and reinforce investor confidence in the Egyptian economy and the SCZone.
