Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Sunday, with the EGX30 index down 0.95% to 53,417.59 points.
The Shariah index declined by 0.52% to 6,029.95 points, while the EGX35-LV plunged by 0.06% to 6,364.56 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session higher by 0.84% at 17,855.72 points and by 0.47% at 23,709.04 points, respectively.
A total of 3.904 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 9.589 billion over 230,326 transactions, while the market cap amounted to EGP 3.936 trillion.
Retail investors controlled 83.74% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 16.25%.
The Egyptians controlled the trading with 95.53%, while Arab and foreign investors accounted for 2.82% and 1.65%, respectively.
Foreign investors were buyers with EGP 110.362 million, while Egyptian and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 110.244 million and EGP 117,229, respectively.
