EGX shows varied performance on Wednesday

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Wednesday, with the EGX30 index falling by 0.11% to 53,931.92 points.

The Shariah index went up by 0.09% to 6,061.2 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 0.23% to 6,368.53 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session higher by 0.69% at 6,368.53 points and by 0.49% at 23,597.48 points, respectively.

A total of 3.807 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 12.735 billion over 241,016 transactions, while the market cap amounted to EGP 3.951 trillion.

Individuals took over 76.74% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 23.25%.

The Egyptians controlled the trading with 90.5%, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 6.36% and 3.14%, respectively.

Arab investors were buyers with EGP 153.836 million, while foreign and Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 120.119 million and EGP 33.717 million, respectively.
