Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Tuesday, with the EGX30 index rising by 0.18% to 53,729.97 points.
The Shariah index went up by 0.16% to 6,057.05 points, while the EGX35-LV dropped by 0.39% to 6,361.8 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session higher by 0.97% at 18,300.85 points and by 0.62% at 24,133.04 points, respectively.
A total of 3.536 billion shares were exchanged through 241,943 transactions at a turnover of EGP 11.102 billion, while the market cap amounted to EGP 3.958 trillion.
Individuals took over 79.5% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 20.49%.
The Egyptians controlled the trading with 89.06%, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 3.39% and 7.55%, respectively.
Arab investors were sellers with EGP 66.082 million, while Egyptian and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 57.888 million and EGP 8.194 million, respectively.
