ITIDA inks deals for high-speed internet CPE development in Egypt

Arab Finance: The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has signed deals with Telecom Egypt and three other firms awarded contracts for designing and developing high-speed internet customer premises equipment (CPE) routers in Egypt, according to a statement on March 28^th.

The wining companies are El Sewedy Electrometer, El Araby Group, and a consortium of Bio Business and HitekNOFAL OPTIX.

The signing aims to promote the localization of electronics manufacturing in Egypt as well as reduce imports of these products.
