Arab Finance: Automotive sales in Egypt rose 29.7% year on year (YoY) to 116,869 units during the first seven months of 2026, compared with 90,104 units in the same period of 2025, according to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC).
Passenger car sales rose by 25% to 87,140 units from 69,793 units a year earlier.
The bus segment recorded the strongest growth during the seven-month period, with sales climbing by 88% to 10,449 units, compared with 5,557 units.
Truck sales also increased by 30.7% to 19,280 units from 14,754 units in the corresponding period of 2025.
In July alone, total vehicle sales advanced by 15.6% YoY to 18,040 units, up from 15,610 units.
Passenger car sales grew by 6.8% to 12,876 units from 12,053, while bus sales jumped by 62% to 1,835 units from 1,133.
Truck sales climbed by 37.3% during the month, reaching 3,329 units from 2,424 units in July 2025.
