Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has reviewed the proposed executive measures from the Ministry of Civil Aviation regarding airports management and operation by private sector companies, as per a cabinet statement.

During his meeting with the ministers of civil aviation and public business sector, Madbouly emphasized the government's ongoing efforts, through relevant ministries and agencies, to enhance the civil aviation sector.

These efforts aim to improve the sector’s regional and global competitiveness, aligning it with the comprehensive development plan in the country, Madbouly added.

He added that the involvement of the private sector in managing and operating Egyptian airports is expected to enhance passenger services and increase revenues.

This move aims to organize passenger flow and services efficiently by inviting major global companies specialized in this field to submit proposals within specified timelines.

A list of major consulting firms was reviewed during the meeting, along with discussions on the technical and financial evaluation criteria for these firms.

Furthermore, an initial proposed timeframe for the privatization process was discussed.
