Local gold prices reached unprecedented levels this year hitting EGP 1,686 per gram of 21 carat in January, EGP 1,656 in February, and EGP 1,974 in March.  

In April, local Gold was priced at EGP 2,371 per gram of 21 carats. It also hit the highest-ever record of EGP 2,800 on the 27th of April.  

It also reached EGP 2,459 in May, EGP 1,915 in June, and EGP 2,057 in July.  

The prices per gram of 21-carat local gold hit EGP 2,244 in August, EGP 2,217 in September, and EGP 2,390 in October.
