USAID assistance to Egypt has fluctuated over the years, starting at $750 million in 2014, as per data from the USAID.
It increased to $1.57 billion in 2015 before dropping to $1.26 billion in 2016. The amount further decreased to $380 million in 2017 but rose again to $1.24 billion in 2018.
In 2019 and 2020, the aid remained steady at $1.47 billion, followed by a slight increase to $1.5 billion in 2021. The assistance slightly decreased to $1.37 billion in 2022, before returning to $1.5 billion in 2023.
