Egypt to import grains from Serbia via Constanta port

Arab Finance: Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhy agreed with the former President of Serbia to import grains, mainly wheat and corn, from Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania through the Port of Constanta to the Egyptian ports of Alexandria or Damietta, according to a statement by the Egyptian ministry on February 8th.

Moselhy also discussed with the Serbian side the supply of nearly one million tons of wheat through the Constanta port, without revealing a timeframe.

During their meeting, Moselhy also discussed with a delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) the financing of the construction of a large silo at Damietta port with a storage capacity of 200,000 tons, and 5 new silos in the governorates of Sharqia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Dakahlia, Minya, and New Valley, with a capacity of 5,000 tons each.
