Arab Finance: Nile University and the Green Hydrogen Organization (GH2) have signed an agreement to establish an international center for green hydrogen, as per a statement on June 30th.
The center aims to support state efforts in renewable energy and green hydrogen, build capabilities in this field, provide technical assistance to Egypt and African countries, and accelerate financing for renewable energy and green hydrogen projects.
The agreement's key initiatives include accelerating financing for green hydrogen projects, inviting multilateral development banks to participate in this field in Egypt, and developing best practices.
Additionally, the agreement will organize relevant forums and establish a financial advisory group to create innovative financing solutions and ensure compliance with international standards and certifications for green hydrogen.
This came during the second and final day of the Egypt-EU Investment Conference attended by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, among other officials and ministers.
