MIDOR’s daily production capacity reaches 160,000 barrels

Arab Finance: The Middle East Oil Refinery’s (MIDOR) production capacity has reached up to 160,000 barrels a day, providing 25% of Egypt’s fuel and diesel supplies, a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources revealed.

The announcement was made during the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi’s tour to follow up on the trial operation of MIDOR’s production units.

The increase in the refinery’s production capacity came on the back of the recent expansions worth $2.7 billion in investments, MIDOR’s Chairman Salah Gaber stated.

This is in addition to the development of the existing units at the refinery, he added.
