Arab Finance: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) has sealed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Business France to ensure sustainable investment cooperation between Egypt and France, as per a statement.
The MoU focuses on providing investor support, forging partnerships between the business communities in both countries, and exchanging data and information on target sectors, investment opportunities, and legislative and executive developments.
It also covers the organization of investment promotion seminars and conferences, along with roadshows for business delegations from both countries to explore investment opportunities.
It is worth noting that the French investments in Egypt reached €7 billion across 180 companies, GAFI’s CEO Hossam Heiba stated during his roadshow in France, accompanied by Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib.
The visit included participation in the Egyptian-French Business Forum, which was held in Paris and Marseille, with the attendance of French Minister of Foreign Trade Sophie Primas and over 350 French firms.
