SCZONE, Germany's Sun Garden ink $7M deal for textiles project in Qantara West

Arab Finance: The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) signed a contract with German company Sun Garden to establish a textiles and furnishings project in the Qantara West Industrial Zone, the SCZONE stated.

This marks the first German industrial investment in Qantara West.

The project, valued at $7 million, will be built on 30,000 square meters and is expected to provide 500 direct job opportunities.

Around 90% of production will be exported to international markets.

SCZONE's Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien said the project underscores growing investor confidence in the zone’s business climate and adds to efforts to localize industries and strengthen local value chains.

He noted that Sun Garden’s operations will integrate with existing textile and furniture investments in Qantara West, contributing to the development of a competitive industrial base with regional and international reach.

With this addition, the total number of active projects in Qantara West has reached 37, spanning about 2.362 million square meters, with investments exceeding $1 billion, and offering more than 52,700 direct jobs.
