Arab Finance: Egypt has received $16 billion in concessional financing from development partners for the public and private sectors since 2020, according to a statement.
Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat highlighted that the financing was secured through international cooperation mechanisms.
Al-Mashat added that the partnership with the European Union (EU) includes investment guarantees worth €1.8 billion to mobilize public and private investments valued at €5 billion.
She indicated that recent efforts prompted bilateral international institutions to finance the private sector in Egypt for the first time in its history. Therefore, partnerships with international institutions take various forms of cooperation and integration.
Her remarks were made during a press conference on the National Narrative for Economic Development roadmap.
