Arab Finance: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the government to make the supply price of wheat rewarding for farmers in a way that achieve an adequate economic return for them, according to a statement by the Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency on January 10th.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with top officials to address the food security system and the position of the strategic reserve of basic food commodities in the country, the statement added.
The President was briefed on the position of the strategic reserve of all basic food commodities of the state, taking into account the current global food crisis, to maintain a solid strategic reserve, as well as to maximize the added value of storing goods from strategic silos that have been established across Egypt.
The President also followed up on the latest updates on the current season for wheat cultivation across the country to determine the price of wheat supply and boost its supply volumes.
