Arab Finance: Oriental Weavers has joined forces with Gemini Africa to launch the “Weavers of Tomorrow” program, according to an emailed press release.

This entrepreneurial initiative is set to form an integrated business ecosystem for advancing and growing the textile and carpet industry and its supporting sectors.

The program is expected to integrate into new and innovative domains through a comprehensive program to support youth and startup founders, empowering a new generation of leaders in the textile and carpet industry.

Marking the first global platform to launch future initiatives to advance the carpet industry, this program ensures sustainability and growth in competitiveness.

“Working together with like-minded institutions like Gemini Africa and the British University in Egypt, we can establish an educational setting that supports sustainable development objectives, such as high-quality education and sustainable economic growth, thus contributing to transforming traditional crafts into innovative projects,” Yasmine Khamis, Chair of Oriental Weavers Carpets, stated.
