AOI’s Atico Wood Industries Factory achieves global carbon footprint certification

Arab Finance: The Atico Wood Industries Factory, part of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), has received an internationally accredited carbon footprint report, as per a statement
This achievement highlights the factory’s commitment to applying green economy standards in its industrial operations.
This step aligns with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to promote advanced manufacturing technologies and boost local production in accordance with green economy criteria.
It also comes in line with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade’s dedication to improving services for exporters and importers.
Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the AOI, called the achievement a starting point for future cooperation in industrial and investment sectors.
Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), emphasized the authority’s critical role in balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability.
He also highlighted the establishment of an Environmental Verification and Carbon Reduction Certification Unit, launched and accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council in May 2023, under the directives of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
