EGX sees varied performance on Monday

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Monday, with the EGX30 index ending the trading session falling by 0.27% to 30,925.29 points.

Likewise, the Sharia-compliant index, EGX33 Shariah index, declined by 0.02% to 3,255.43 points.

The EGX70 index ended the session higher by 0.08% at 8,718.95 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 index went down by 0.02% to 11,975.33 points.

A total of 1.630 billion shares were exchanged over 89,463 transactions at a value of EGP 3.654 billion, while the market capitalization stood at EGP 2.278 trillion.

Retail investors represented 77.14% of the total trading, while the institutions equaled 22.85%.

Egyptian investors took over 88.92% of trading transactions, while foreign and Arab traders accounted for 6.66% and 4.42%, respectively.

The Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 55.709 million and EGP 19.189 million, respectively. Non-Arab foreign traders were sellers with EGP 74.898 million.
