Saipem 10000 arrives in Egypt to begin drilling work at Zohr field

Arab Finance: The drilling vessel Saipem 10000 arrived in Egypt on January 28th to begin the drilling works at the Zohr natural gas field, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced.

The vessel will deploy modern technology and start the drilling operations at the natural gas field  to increase gas production.

This aligns with the joint agreement between the Ministry of Petroleum and the Italian company Eni to drill new wells during the first quarter (Q1) of 2025.

In this regard, the government denied reports claiming that Eni delayed the production of 220 million cubic feet of gas per day from the Zohr field until May 2025.
