Arab Finance: Remittances from Egyptians abroad increased by 51.3% year on year (YoY) in 2024, reaching approximately $29.6 billion compared to about $19.5 billion in 2023, as per a statement.
This announcement came during a meeting between Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Central Bank of Egypt's (CBE) Governor Hassan Abdalla.
The meeting addressed ongoing coordination between the government and the CBE to secure financial resources for essential goods and production needs.
The discussions indicated an increase in foreign exchnage reserves during January, as compared to December 2024.
