Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, represented by the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), has bought 35,250 tons of soybean and sunflower oil via an international tender, as per a statement by the ministry.
The oil shipment is set for arrival in May 2024.
The launch of this tender comes within the framework of the country’s strategy to maintain the strategic reserves of food commodities.
The ministry stated that Egypt’s reserves of cooking oil are sufficient for six months.
