Egypt issues $71.6B debt instruments in almost 4 months

Arab Finance: Egypt has issued debt instruments worth $71.6 billion since the beginning of 2024 until April 24th, representing a 57% year-on-year (YoY) increase, Asharq Business reported, citing calculations by Bloomberg.

Sales of the EGP-denominated debt instruments during this period were valued at $69.2 billion, up 64% as compared to sales in the corresponding period of 2023, as per Bloomberg.

The data showed that these sales were the highest since 2013.
