Arab Finance: The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) has signed a shareholder’s agreement with CIRA Education’s subsidiary Al Ahly CIRA for Educational Services and Education Support and Development Authority to set up a joint venture (JV) to develop four new international university models in Egypt, as per a statement.
The new universities will be established in cooperation with several prestigious international educational institutions from Canada, Switzerland, Germany, and the US through partners who will be announced once the relevant cooperation agreements are finalized.
“By joining forces with world-renowned universities and combining our resources and expertise, we are poised to create academic institutions that meet the highest global standards while addressing the diverse needs of our students and communities,” Hassan El Kalla, CIRA Education’s Chairman, commented.
“By establishing new micro international university campuses, we are creating a solid infrastructure to elevate the standards of the Egyptian labor force to top international levels,” Hisham Okasha, Chairman of the National Bank of Egypt and Al Ahly Capital Holding, remarked.
On March 10th, Al Ahly CIRA for Educational Services obtained the needed approvals from the cabinet to establish Saxony Egypt University for applied science and technology.
