Labor Minister announces Hijri New Year holiday for private sector

Arab Finance: Minister of Labor Mohamed Gobran announced that Thursday, July 11^th, will be an official paid holiday for private sector workers on the occasion of the Hijri New Year, as per a statement.

Employers may require employees to work on that day, if necessary, in which case employees are entitled to double their usual wage for the day.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly echoed the same sentiment for public sector workers earlier.
