Arab Finance: The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib met with the US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg to mull cementing trade and investment cooperation between Egypt and the US over the coming period, as per a statement.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of enhancing intra-trade and joint investments through strengthening the strategic economic ties between both countries, El Khatib said.

For her part, Garg stressed her country’s keenness to foster economic collaboration with Egypt, particularly in the sectors of trade, investment, energy, and environment.

Both sides also discussed the main topics of the second edition of the US-Egypt Joint Economic Commission Meeting, scheduled to be held in Washington on September 4^th and 5^th.
