Egypt, ITFC explore enhanced cooperation

Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib held discussions with Hani Salem Sonbol, CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), and the Acting CEO of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICDPS), focusing on expanding collaboration, as per a statement.

The talks focused on integrating new programs into ITFC's 2025 work plan to facilitate trade, enhance the business environment, and support Egyptian exports.

Sonbol emphasized the ITFC’s commitment to boosting cooperation with Egypt, aiming to develop a new generation of exporters and empower youth and women through various programs, including the Arab-African Trade Bridges Program and the Aid for Trade Initiative for Arab Countries (AFT 2.0).

The meeting also addressed advancing initiatives like the Export Academy and the Women in International Trade Project, alongside strengthening partnerships with ICDPS to provide financing for strategic sectors in Egypt.
