Egypt to host 2025 Pan African Zoo Conference for 1st time

Arab Finance: The Pan African Zoo Association (PAAZA) has officially selected Egypt to host its annual conference in 2025, marking the first time the event will be held in Egypt or any North African country, as per a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The announcement was made during the ongoing conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Chairman of the Egyptian Zoo Development Company and the Egyptian Zoo Development Alliance Mohamed Kamel said that the event will coincide with the completion of the Giza Zoo’s development phase and its reopening to the public.

He emphasized that hosting the conference in Cairo is a significant milestone for Egypt, signaling the country’s readiness to reintegrate the Giza Zoo into the African and international zoo rankings.

During the conference, the Egyptian delegation presented a comprehensive overview of the Giza Zoo’s history, development, and future vision, showcasing how the park will blend its rich heritage with modern technology and entertainment.

The delegation engaged with international experts and participants, addressing questions and gathering feedback on the park’s development plans.
