Egypt to set up PV power station in Djibouti

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity has signed an agreement and an implementation contract with the Djiboutian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to set up a photovoltaic (PV) power station in Djibouti, as per a statement.

The agreement covers the implementation of a PV power station with a capacity of 276.5 kilowatts (KW).

The Egyptian Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat expressed his ministry’s keenness to boost cooperation between Egypt and Djibouti and leverage the Egyptian expertise in the renewables sector.

This is in addition to organizing specialized training programs in several fields required by the Djiboutian side.
