Egypt receives IFC technical study to offer 20 airports to private sector

Arab Finance: The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has submitted a technical study and a proposed timeline to the Egyptian government to offer the management and operation of 20 airports, including four new ones, to the private sector, sources told Al Arabiya Business.

Egypt has 23 airports, with Cairo International Airport as the country’s largest and main one.

On October 14th, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that the government is working on the state’s initial public offering (IPO) program and will make important announcements soon regarding the offering of several airports and banks.
